Privacy Policy

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how I, Linda S. Stockwell, Esq., operating as Stockwell Law ("I," "me," or "my"), handle information in connection with this website, lindastockwelllaw.com (the "Site"). I am committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the limited information this Site collects.

Information I Collect

This Site is a static informational website. It does not use a database, does not require you to create an account, and does not collect payment information.

  • Contact form: The "Send a Message" form on this Site collects your name, email address, and message, and transmits it securely to me using a third-party form processing service, Formspree. Formspree delivers your submission to my email inbox and retains a copy of it on their servers for a limited time (currently up to 30 days) as part of providing that service. I do not use your submission for any purpose other than responding to you.
  • Direct contact: If you email or call me directly using the contact information on this Site, I will have whatever information you choose to share with me (such as your name, email address, phone number, and the contents of your message).
  • Hosting and technical logs: Like most websites, this Site is hosted by a third-party web hosting provider (IONOS), which may automatically log basic technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and access times) for security and server administration purposes. I do not have access to personally identify visitors from these logs in the ordinary course of operating the Site.

Cookies and Third-Party Services

This Site does not use cookies, analytics tools, or advertising trackers of its own. This Site does load fonts from Google Fonts, a third-party service, which may receive your IP address and browser information as a technical part of delivering those fonts, subject to Google's own privacy practices. This Site also uses Formspree, a third-party form processing service, to handle contact form submissions, as described above and subject to Formspree's own privacy policy.

How Information Is Used

Any information you send to me directly (by email, phone, or the contact form) is used solely to respond to your inquiry, communicate with you about legal services, and, where an attorney-client relationship is formed, to provide those services. I do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Retention

I retain communications and client information consistent with my professional and ethical obligations as an attorney, and applicable law, and delete or archive information when it is no longer needed for those purposes.

Your Choices

Because this Site does not use cookies or tracking technologies, there is no tracking-related data for you to opt out of. If you have contacted me directly and would like your information corrected or removed from my records (subject to my professional recordkeeping obligations), please reach out using the contact information below.

Children's Privacy

This Site is intended for adults seeking legal information and services and is not directed to children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in my practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
